Staying in a medieval castle was a unique and exciting experience. The stunning mountain views from the sunny terrace were breathtaking. The restaurant served fresh local dishes, with the wild goulash being a standout. Free access to the dungeon, tower, and weapons room added to the unique experience.
The road up to the castle was very steep and winding, making for a nerve-wracking journey. Communication was difficult as only the owner spoke English.

This hotel is equal to 3 stars. We where offered queen room with central heating, a personal safe and a sitting area which were very good! Not far from the downtown, 20 minutes on foot.

It is a SUPERIOR place. We had a superior double room and it included climate control, multi-channel TV and a seating area. Our favorite hotel in Alf, staff was very good.

Nestled atop a mountain, this castle, turned, hotel is a historic gem. With a small museum to explore, the rooms are comfortable and well, appointed. the breakfast table is a dream and the garden is lovely, making for a charming stay. What's more, the turret rooms offer breathtaking views of the valley which pair perfectly with the mineral water available in the sitting room.
While the winding road up to the castle may be a bit challenging, the unique experience of staying in such an exceptional locale is well worth the trek.

Staying in the room with a turret was amazing, with a balcony and a breathtaking view of the valley. Walking around the historic parts of the hotel, including the tower and the dungeon, made me feel like a character in a fairytale. The garden was lovely, and I enjoyed drinking mineral water in the turret sitting room. I also appreciated the great regional food and wine, as well as the friendly staff.
There was nothing I didn't like.

I had the most magical experience staying at a beautiful little castle with great mountain views. The location was perfect, atop a hill in a stunning setting. The sunny terrace offered breathtaking views of the mountains. The restaurant served delicious regional and fresh dishes, accompanied by good wine. The owners were incredibly friendly and made our stay truly wonderful. If you're looking for something special and more quiet in the Mosel region, this is the place to be! I highly recommend this unique opportunity to stay in a castle.
